Tile!

There were endless options for floor tile, but we finally narrowed it down and ordered it last night. Everything else in the room is pretty light, so we went with an imperial grey, contemporary, porcelin tile. There are subtle patterns on it, but nothing too overpowering. I can't wait until it comes in!

We loved the rectangular shaped tile, but it didn't come in a small enough size, so we're going with 12x12 and are going to stagger them. The best part is that they have rectified edges, so the grout lines will be TINY!
I finally feel like it is coming together.
And I heard a rumor that the lower cabinets were installed today and we MIGHT (fingers crossed) have a temporary sink!
Still working on the paint color and the backsplash tile, though. What would you suggest?!

whooo! love it. Pretty subtle pattern and nice gray. I was just telling Justin that it's perfect because you won't go crazy every time there's a little bit of dirt. And won't see every little scratch as it ages. Unlike my black and white floor :/

have you looked at glass tile for the backsplash? i think small pieces would be pretty - would catch the light nicely. Ann Sacks has nice stuff, but I'm sure is really pricey. There must be a more affordable option. http://www.annsacks.com/onlinecatalog/collection.jsp?cat=268004&coll=268304

nice tile. do you mind sharing the brand of the tile? I randomly found your blog through a google search for gray rectangular tile.
